Golden State Clinical Counseling, A Professional Clinical Counselor Corporation was established in 2021 to provide accessible behavioral health services for individuals, children, adolescents, and families throughout the state of California. Our mission is to provide a safe and judgement-free environment to focus on the individual's unique experience and work through the challenges that get in the way. We offer a variety of therapeutic interventions tailored to meet the needs of each individual.

ALL ABOUT THERAPY
Perhaps you're down or anxious - maybe you're unsure about the future of a relationship, or just feel that you aren't living the life you were meant to lead. Whatever your needs may be, Golden State Clinical Counseling is here to offer support. Therapy is a process of growth and self-discovery, and in your sessions behavioral transformation will be fostered by encouraging an affirmative outlook and the adoption of new attitudes and reactions. We have the tools and professional experience to help you get back on track.
TYPES OF THERAPY

MINDFULNESS
Mindfulness is a state of active, open attention to the present. This state is described as observing one’s thoughts and feelings without judging them as good or bad. Mindfulness-Based Cognitive Therapy (MBCT) is a modified form of cognitive therapy that incorporates mindfulness practices such as meditation and breathing exercises. Using these tools, MBCT therapists teach clients how to break away from negative thought patterns that can cause a downward spiral into a depressed state so they will be able to fight off depression before it takes hold.
STRENGTHS-BASED
Strength-based therapy is a type of positive psychotherapy and counseling that focuses more on your internal strengths and resourcefulness, and less on weaknesses, failures, and shortcomings. This focus sets up a positive mindset that helps you build on you best qualities, find your strengths, improve resilience and change worldview to one that is more positive. A positive attitude, in turn, can help your expectations of yourself and others become more reasonable.
SPORTS PERFORMANCE
Sports performance focuses on working to understand what motivates athletes and how athletes can improve their functioning. These activities can range from counseling athletes who might have anxiety issues that hamper their performance to instructing athletes (individually or in groups) on methods of mental conditioning (e.g., visualization, concentration, and relaxation) to helping athletes deal with injuries.

"Out of your vulnerabilities will come your strength."
